On payment of my membership fee I acknowledge that it is a condition of my membership of Australian Taekwondo that I am required to comply with all rules, procedures and policies of Australian Taekwondo including any resolutions and determinations made or passed By the Board or any duly authorised committee and I agree to do so fully understanding that my failure to do so may result in my membership of Australian Taekwondo being discontinued. The primary purpose of collecting your personal information is to service you as a member; this includes communicating event and service information that directly relates to your membership with us. Terms and Conditions

Classes commence in early January and cease in December. During this time the UNSW Taekwondo Club reserves the right to cancel classes which do not produce reasonable attendance or where appropriate coaching staff cannot be sourced.

Membership packages (yearly, semester and casual passes) will be considered non- refundable after a person has purchased and paid for the membership package.

Under special circumstances partial refunds may be granted; submissions for such refunds must be submitted to the club Treasurer and approved by the club President who will make the final decision.

You must submit correct information on your membership form; any false information is grounds for immediate dismissal from the club without refund.

While participation in UNSW Taekwondo activities or representing the club, you agree to act appropriately, legally and within the spirit of Taekwondo and sportsmanship. Any behavior which brings UNSW Taekwondo into dispute may result in instant dismissal without refund of membership and training fees.

You agree to be contacted by Facebook (UNSW Taekwondo Facebook group), email and mobile regarding club related matters. Note: Your information will be kept confidential and will only be made available to club executives for club related correspondence.

You will only elect to partake in training, competitions and other club events where you feel you are adequately prepared and able to do so.

You agree to seriously consider senior club executives’, coaches’ and team managers’ advice and refer yourself to a professional where necessary and use club resources where available.

You understand that while coaches and club executives will try to guide you, ultimately you are responsible for your own safety.

You agree to follow the direction of coaches in class, particularly when it comes to the physical safety of your own and others.

You agree to take care when training and withhold from the use of excessive force particularly during contact kicking and sparring.

You agree that when sparring, contact must be kept within safe limits.

You agree that any photo taken of you during club trainings, competitions or other events may be used by the club for advertising purposes or club related materials.

You understand that for Risk Management purposes official Taekwondo Uniforms must be worn at all training sessions.

An exemption to this rule exists for the first 5 training sessions for new members.

You agree to list any medical or personal conditions that may impact your ability to participate in club activities and events.

For insurance purposes, whilst undertaking any training, you agree to report any existing injuries or conditions and any injuries sustained while training to the instructor prior to the sessions’ start and to the team managers of the club.

A partial refund will be given to students who pay the Nationals Division 1 deposit and are no longer able to attend.

In order to receive the partial refund, you agree to notify the committee members a minimum 8 weeks before the team leaves.
Any violation of the terms and conditions outlined above may lead to an official warning or instant dismissal without refund of fees, at the discretion of Coaches and the club Executive.
